1Password does not anymore

Hi Support,

my 1password stopped syncing my password data from one second to another :(. I am a member in a team account and I have 20 changes pending since yesterday. I do get the error "XXXX authentification error - please sign in again" (XXXX is my teamaccount name).

  • I have installed the latest stable release from the website.
  • My teamleader has started a recovery process and I have finished it.
  • My diagnosticreports shows the error "No userB!" since yesterday.
  • I can login into my online account at 1password.com.
  • I can see myself in the activity report there.
  • I cannot sync my passwords with my team since yesterday.

I am using windows 10 Pro.

Your help is very welcome :-)

1Password Version: 6.1.308
Extension Version: 4.6.2.90
OS Version: Win 10 Pro
Sync Type: ?

@anwarayad: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble! I'm glad to hear that you're able to login to your account on 1Password.com. Are you able to access all of your data there, or do you have some in the app which hasn't been able to sync yet?

It sounds like you have some old account credentials saved in the app. Please press Ctrl O, login with your current credentials, and let me know if that resolves authentication error, and we'll go from there. I look forward to hearing back from you!

@brenty thanks for your quick response and your help. The provided advice unfortunately did not help - it just messed my personal fault. It replaced websites and user names by a kind of ... well it looked like a kind of hash value :(.

My Admin has deleted and readded my user. I got a new Account Key and fortunately all shared vaults could be imported with partly outdated data due to the fact that my user had the latest data. I have imported the personal vault data by hand from a backup manually - not funny but also not a real problem.

I am not happy with what has happened but I am pretty sure that this was not the fault of 1password alone... the other 7 team members did not encounter any problems.

I really like the tool and in my opinion at the moment it is the solution with the best usability. I would recommend it to everybody but the issue mentioned above nearly freaked me out .-)

@anwarayad: Oh no! Did you really delete your account? That seems like an extreme measure, especially if it means having to use old data or manually enter it again. If you still have it, let me know so we can help. Frankly, it sounds like a display glitch that would have been resolved by restarting. If, however, it's really gone, please, please if you or anyone else on your team encounters further issues, don't do anything destructive; just reach out and we'll help you get things sorted out. I'm sorry you ran into trouble, but never panic: we're here for you!
