I'll add that as both a Teams and personal licensed 1Password user, it looks like I'll need to run both apps. Version 4 for all of my personal items and Version 6 for all of my shared team items...

@KenJHen: I hope you don't mind, but I've split you off from that old discussion so we can focus on your situation. I think I may have a solution for you, being in the same boat.

While you'll certainly need to use 1Password 4 currently to edit local vaults, if you do need to continue using those alongside your 1Password.com Account, you can access both through 1Password 6.

It can be a bit of a hassle to switch back and forth between apps, mainly for the browser integration. If you start with 1Password 4, you'll need to do the following:

    1. Use 1Password 4 until you're finished
    2. Quit all 1Password processes in Task Manager — especially "1Password (32-bit)" (Agile1PAgent.exe), the Helper for the browser extensions
    3. Open 1Password 6 (if you made changes, go to Settings > Accounts & Vaults > local vault > Sync) and use it until you're finished
    4. Quit 1Password 6 from the notification icon
    5. Open 1Password 4 and go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password Helper

But if you're only accessing data most of the time (especially the local vaults), 1Password 6 can read them, and use them to fill in the browser. It simply cannot edit them yet. Then, only when you really need to edit something in a local vault, you can switch to 1Password 4.

I know it's not ideal, and we're working to make 1Password 6 the go-to app for all Windows users, but I thought this might help you in the mean time. :)
