i just installed the Windows version 6 on my PC (Win7). I had been using version 4, but upgraded to use the family subscription. With version 4, i could put my cursor in a field of just about any application (like Remote Desktop password) and have 1Password populate the field by pressing the "I" next to the password in 1Password for that login. This was very useful (pretty much required). How do I do this in version 6?

1Password Version: 6.1.308d
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: windows 7
Sync Type: family

I believe the feature is called "Auto-Type". After I posted this question, I was finally able to find other posts regarding this feature not being available in Version 6. I am very disappointed, as i use this feature numerous times a day for applications that do not work with copy/paste. I really hope it is added soon. In the meantime, I will see if I can use version 4 and 6 on the same PC for the passwords I have to use at work with the application that do not allow paste function.

    Hey @mduperron,

I'm sorry for this. It's something that's on our to-do list and we plan on adding it in the future, we just don't have an exact date for it.

This should work fine, 1Password 4/6 can be used side by side on the same PC. The only conflict when it comes to using the browser extensions; only one app can be connected to a browser at a time.
