Add 2FA account to 1Password Teams on Windows 10

I would like to use 1Password (pc or android) as my 2FA authenticator.
On my Windows pc I use 1Password 6 and I watched the video on https://support.1password.com/one-time-passwords/
So I tried to add a one-time-password by creating a new field with this type.
But there's no option to scan a QR code, so I scanned it myself and entered the link.
Nothing happend :( This feature has yet to be developed?

1Password Version: 6.2.333d
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Window 10
Sync Type: 1Password for teams

    Hi @tomas_pionect,

    Thanks for writing in.

There is no barcode scanner support yet for the custom 2FA fields, you have to ask the site for the secret and then you add this secret to the field. Once saved, 1Password will convert it to the digits for you.

However, if you manually decoded the barcode, it should return you the secret as well, usually in the form of otpauth://totp/....?secret=...

We will implement support for the barcode form in a future update.

    hi @MikeT

That's it! I only had to store the secret.
I expected the field to change right away but just saving was all that was needed.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Hi @tomas_pionect,

I'm glad to hear that and you're welcome.
