1Password 6.x vs 1Password 4.x
What the main differences please? So far I don't like the plainness of 1Password 6.x

Hi @ttim03,
Thanks for writing in.
The main difference is that 1Password 4 is the most complete and latest version for standalone users, people who wants local files on their drives that they can use. 1Password 6 is a new program designed with 1Password.com service in mind, it is modern and quick but as a newish app still in heavy development, it doesn't yet have all of the features. We're shipping major updates every month as fast as we can.
The end goal is that 1Password 6 will match feature parity of 1Password 4 with local vaults support and then it'll be one Windows app for everyone.
If you'd like to learn more about why people should try 1Password.com, you can read our article here.
Is there a specific thing you don't like about 1Password 6? Is the plainness due to the lack of colors like missing Rich/Custom icons, which is coming in a future update? The UI design is not finalized, each update will bring more UI improvements.

Good to know that 1Password6 will have as many features as 1Password4. That should take care of the plainness.

Yep, it will not only match but exceed the feature parity as well.
