Local vault on network share two computers

Options

Hello, I have a 1Password Teams account and I use both a Windows 10 Desktop and Macbook. I have a need to store some very sensitive credentials only locally, they cannot be stored in a cloud provider like a Teams vault or Dropbox/iCloud. I created a local vault on my MBP and then setup Sync to a CIFS share. I can open that vault on my Windows box but I cannot edit or create any new entries. Is there not a way to have multiple computers access a personal vault that they can both write to?

1Password Version: 6.2.333d for Win, 6.5.3 for Mac
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Win 10 Pro 1607, macOS 10.12.3
Sync Type: CIFS Network Share

  • Hi @dflo16,

    Thanks for writing in.

Not on Windows at the moment, 1Password 6 for Windows only supports read-only for local vaults. We're working to enable write support for it in the future and once that happens, you can do the same as the macOS version of 1Password 6.

We do have 1Password 4 for Windows with full local vault support that you can run at the same time if you want. If yes, please email us at support+windows@agilebits.com with a link to this thread, so we can help you further on this.

Let us know here if you've sent that email.
