1Password 6.4 for Windows is here with a new 1Password mini design and so much more.

We've got a big 1Password 6.4 update for you. You can read the entire changelog here. Note: this new version is for 1Password.com members using 1Password 6, this is not for 1Password 4 customers using local standalone vaults yet.

Meet the new 1Password mini:

Get the update

Open the main 1Password app, unlock and go to the Settings on top right (gear) to select Options. On the Options page, select Updates on the left to check for an update. You should see 6.4.377 available to update, please install it.

If for some reasons, you cannot download it, download it directly from here: 1Password 6.4.377.

Experiencing an issue with installing 6.4.377?

If you see this message:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'tmp9E79.msi' in the box below

This is the result of a damaged Windows installer's cache. To fix this, run Microsoft's repair tool here.

If that doesn't help, please create a support thread here and let us know.

Have 1Password 6.1.304 installed?

This was an unintentional release by the Windows Store. Uninstall this version via the Settings app > Apps, you should uninstall other 1Password 6 versions if you see it.

A short summary of what's new

1Password mini makeover and browser buffs
- Category filtering and Strong Password Generator are more convenient than ever!
- Right-click in 1Password mini to open or edit an item in the main 1Password program.
- Autosubmit and multiple profiles are now supported in Chrome.

Upgrade and installation improvements
- New, quicker, smarter, and more reliable installer to allow advanced features.
- No administrative rights are required to install 1Password anymore and you can say "No" at the end of the setup, which is only required for registering our logs in Windows' Event Viewer.
- After updating, 1Password stays pinned to taskbar and start menu. It will also default to start itself automatically after booting up Windows.

Search supercharge
- You can now use multiple (up to five) and partial search terms, not just whole words, and can search the full text of all fields.
- In 1Password mini, pressing the Escape key will clear the search terms (and pressing it again will dismiss 1Password mini).
- 1Password will remember if you were searching when it auto-locks, so that unlocking will take you back to your search view.

Access and sync streamlining
- You'll be prompted to update your Master Password if you've changed it on your account.
- Device de-authorization is now supported. (A 1Password.com web update is coming soon to enable this feature for Windows devices.)
- Changes made on two or more separate devices at the same time will now be automatically merged to resolve sync conflicts.

A to Z app advancements
- You can now resize the categories sidebar and 1Password will remember your settings.
- Adjustable font sizes (change using Ctrl + and Ctrl - keyboard shortcuts, or use Ctrl 0 to reset to your system's default font size).
- Web form details are now editable in the item editor.
- More keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl L on a selected field to open "Large Type", Ctrl C to copy, Ctrl R to reveal, Ctrl Alt to reveal all concealed fields, and finally, Esc to cancel editing.
- In All Vaults, you can now sort by Vaults
