Some sites require saving logins twice? Capitastar

I've come across sites which require an email but the actual sign in differs from the initial sign in. It's rather confusing.

It's a rewards points site.

    Hello @wkleem,

    Thank you for reporting this!

I was not able to sign up for a full fledged account there (I don't have NRIC number, obviously), so I don't know if 1Password 6 prompts to save a login twice. But I have created a login item manually and 1Password successfully fills the credentials at their sign-in page at https://sso.capitastar.com. Here is how it looks:

Does 1Password save a similar item for you? Please let us know. If you describe what is going on step by step, it will also be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    Greg

    Hi

From the site described above, there is a Foreigner/Non-Resident section. I had already signed up with the full section and I later realised that login was with the NRIC, not with the email. Had I known email wasn't compulsory, I would not have bothered with it.

There is just too much collection of emails and mobile numbers these days.

    Thanks.

@wkleem: You can always create a new email address, if you don't want to give out your main email address. :)

I am glad to hear my answer was helpful. You are very welcome!

    Cheers,
    Greg

No problem, Greg. I will have to try to log in as I may not be able to bypass the initial registration screen.
