don't know master password
I have a email address on file and I have an account key. I don't know what the master password is. When I rename the data file as backup-data and try signing in again, it tells me that I already have an account with that email address which is true. I also have an account key. I don't know what the master password is. It wants me to change the master key but in order to do that I have to know what it is. I don't want to enter another email address. I have ready the help articles but they do not apply to my situation.
I need help.

Please have a look at our If you forgot your Master Password or you can't unlock 1Password article.The tip I'd try first is signing in to your account on 1Password.com.
If that works the issue must be one with 1Password 6 and we can definitely fix that.Cheers,
