firefox extension does not work

Hi,
I installed the firefox extension and when I click on it it just opens a tab saying that the address wasn't understood. It does not open a drop down menu or prompt to save any passwords. I tried uninstalling and restarting my computer with no luck.

    Thank you for taking time to contact us!

    Please make sure that you installed 1Password app on your Windows PC, because 1Password extension in the Firefox will not work without it. You can download the latest version of 1Password 6 for Windows on our website here. You should be able to sign in to your account in 1Password 6 app and then connect it with the extension in the browser.
