New Design + Mark item as Favorite
First let me give you some kudos for the new Design for 1Password (since the newest beta build), first I was surprised but then I thought it looks great!
An other thing are favorite items. Is there any way how I can mark an item as favorite in 1Password 6 for Windows? Either way I think it would be awesome if I can just drag and drop a item into the Favorites and it will get marked as Favorite.

Not yet but it is coming soon. For now, you can mark them as favorite on 1Password.com and it'll show up as such right away in 1Password 6 for Windows. We know this is a very popular request and it is coming soon along with other features like duplicate, moving items, and so on.

You can mark items as Favorites now in 1Password 6.6.428 (Beta 7).
Drag and drop isn't as easy as it sounds but we'll look into it later.

It should check for an update once an hour as long as the app is locked.

Ah yes, that would not work without admin rights and not a supported configuration in general at the moment.
Well, we just shipped beta 8 if you just installed beta 7. Rich Icons is now available.
