Crash affecting 1Password 6 users on systems with 3rd party pen/tablet input
We've been receiving reports of crashes affecting 1Password 6 and have been able to confirm that this is being caused by a bug in Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.7 which affects pen/tablet input-enabled Windows PCs.
Update: Windows 10 Fall Creators Update has this crash issue returned in a worse way and our previous workaround do not work either. Microsoft recommends disabling the touch screen support to work around this issue. We're awaiting for a better solution on their side.

The root cause for this long standing crash is deep in the Windows layer. Work is happening at different platform layers to fix the root cause and to harden against such issues. We want to get the fix right. Testing to make sure the issue is addressed in its entirety is still ongoing. In the meantime, the best solution continues to be to turn off enhanced touch support...
If you're running Windows 10 Creators Update or earlier
Microsoft has addressed the issue in a recent Windows 10 Creators Update (build 1703) patch. You can get it through Windows Update or download and install directly from Microsoft: KB4022716 (June 27, 2017)
If you're running Windows 7 or 8.1
A fix is in progress for .NET Framework 4.7 for earlier versions of Windows. While we do not have a date for those at this time, we can offer a workaround:
- Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 via Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
- Restart Windows and install version 4.6.2: .NET Framework 4.6.2 offline installer
- Restart Windows
