Keyboard shortcut to open 1Password on Windows has stopped working

Since a recent upgrade, the keyboard shortcut has stopped working on my Windows PC. I have the latest version (6.6.439). Trying to change the setting and restart the program has no effect.

    Thank you for reaching out and reporting this! :+1: Let's try to find out what is going on.

    First of all, have you tried to reinstall 1Password 6? Does the issue remain after that? Secondly, is it possible that your keyboard layout is set to a different language, when you press Ctrl + \? Please let us know.

    Reinstalling the 1Password Windows program had no effect. I have set my keyboard shortcut to Ctrl-Q, which worked fine for a long time. I also reinstalled the Chrome extension, but that didn't affect things either. The Chrome extension does at least still work.

    It is just the keyboard shortcut that doesn't do its stuff any more...

    I too am having problem with this. Now using version 4.6.2.624 for windows. Platform Windows 7 latest updates, Chrome browser. Followed instructions in help but still no joy. Removed and reinstalled extension, but although appears in toolbar, it is a darkish grey and does not respond when clicked, even though extension is enabled. Right click icon can get to 1password manager and secure wallet web page, and can remove or get to extensions. But clicking on the 1password menu option does absolutely nothing. I have not changed keyboard shortcut, which is main way I use the product, but get no response. Regretting updating now.

    @DTC57: Sorry for the trouble! Please make sure that the browser is fully up to date and then restart Windows (which will also restart the browser). 1Password may not be able to connect initially after the update due to the transition to Native Messaging.

    But if you're still having trouble, the best thing to do will be to restart your device, reproduce the same issue, and then generate a diagnostic report so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:

    Same issue here. Actually when I change the shortcut in 1password, close and restart the app it works again. However, at the next restart of my pc it's just not working again. At the moment the only workaround I found is to change the shortcut and restart 1password each time. Quite annoying. I'll see if I can find some to send the diagnostics on this. I know it's been happening since release 6.6.439 (updated it in my case on the 26th of June).

    Same problem: it stopped working suddenly. Probably after an update to Windows or something.

    Um, the instructions for a diagnostics report https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/?windows assume that 1Password will actually open. Sent an email; thanks for the help.
