Hi @wlmicroman,
Thank you for reporting this!
Are you using any kind of AV/anti-malware software on your PC? We have reports of similar behaviour from users of Malwarebytes and McAfee, so please let us know if you are using anything. Thank you!
Cheers,

Hi @wimicromann,
Thank you for confirming! We are investigating the issue with Malwarebytes right now.
In the meantime, in order to install the latest update, please do the following:
1) Uninstall 1Password 4 via the Control Panel.
2) Reboot.
3) Download the latest version from here, but DO NOT install it yet: https://app-updates.agilebits.com/download/OPW4
4) Disconnect the Internet and disable Malwarebytes temporarily.
5) Install 1Password.
6) Re-enable Malwarebytes/Internet after that. Please let us know how it goes. Thank you!
Cheers,

I followed your instructions and now have 1Password version 4.6.2.625(24) working. Is this the latest version, and should I try to update in the future?

Hi @wlmicroman,
Thank you for getting back to me with good news! :) I am glad to hear you've managed to install 1Password 4. I can confirm that 4.6.2.625(24) is the latest version available. You can check the release history on our website here.
We are investigating this issue with Malwarebytes now and they are asking if you could send us your diagnostics from their product, so we can forward it to them. In order to do that, please go to
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\
and compress/zip all of the log files (with extension .bk1, bk2, etc) that you see there and email them to us at support+windows@agilebits.com. If you don't want to compress all of the files, please compress/zip at least the few logs that fall within the date range where you have been having issues with 1Password update. We will be looking forward to the email from you. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Cheers,
Greg0
