PIN access for Windows app
Dear support, in earlier versions of 1P v6 for Windows it was possible to input a less secure password/PIN than the main master password.
I can't seem to find this option after upgrading to v6.7.454?
Thanks in advance
Kim

It'd be a nice feature.
I know you used to be able to change the master password to something less secure without affecting the 1Password online master password. I don't know if this is still possible.

Hey @kiindk and @suggestfeature! Thanks for reaching out to us! This isn't something that's doable any longer. The option to change the Master Password for the app itself was a bit of a relic from when 1Password 6 needed to be able to open standalone vaults in order to import that data. Since that functionality wasn't necessary any longer, we decided to remove that option as it was causing folks to forget their Master Password and lose access to their 1Password account.
That said, I definitely understand the desire to have a quicker way to unlock 1Password 6, particularly on a PC only you use where unauthorized access is less of a concern. I'll be sure to pass along your request for PIN unlock to the team. In the meantime, you can still limit how often you need to enter your Master Password. In the main 1Password 6 app, choose Settings (cog wheel) > Options, then click Security. Select a longer time from the dropdown menu next to
Lock after computer is idle for
to keep from having to enter your Master Password quite as often. :chuffed:0
