1Password Windows 4 or 7 Folder Sync to network file share with data from 1Password Mac 6.8

I have been using 1Password 4 on Windows but are not sure if I can do a folder sync to a network share on Windows - the data on the network share was created with 1Password 6.8 for Mac. I would hope to have both Mac and Windows in sync with the same data.

1Password Version: 4.0
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10
Sync Type: Folder Share

    Hi @dked,

    Thanks for writing in.

Just to be clear, we do not recommend network shares with 1Password 4 for Windows, it does not have built-in folder sync to allow for the app to sync between the vault it has and the folder where the vault is stored. In other words, 1Password 4 will read/write directly to the network share if you set it up like this, meaning it is prone to any network instabilities and performance issues.

For now, you should use a tool to sync the folder from the network share to your local drive and configure 1Password 4 to use that folder on the local drive instead.
