It would be super awesome if 1password could generate time based 2FA codes (like the google authenticator), maybe even as a field on the actual item in the vault

Not only is it an extra layer of security on your "2nd factor", it would be convenient as when I log on to a website I dont have to reach for my phone etc

1Password 6 for Windows can do it already:

You want to select a one-time password as a field type, and then "scan" the QR code:

Moreover, your one-time password should be copied to a clipboard when you fill your credentials using 1Password extension on such websites. Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. Thanks! :+1:

Maybe I am being slow, but I cannot for the love of me see how I bring up that menu which the arrow is pointing to in the 2nd picture

Start typing into the new field to bring up the menu next to it, here's a short GIF to show how:

We are investigating a more friendly way to create a new custom field, instead of this currently awkward one where you have to focus and type first.
