Ok never mind, I reinstalled again the same version over the already installed one and now works... go figure, now if I install 1P 4 let's see what's happens

Thanks for following up! I'm not sure I understand since both versions of 1Password use the same extensions (currently at version 4.6.12)...but certainly if you have both version 4 and 6 of the app installed those will conflict with each other. Anyway, it sounds like you should be all set, but we're here if you need us. :)

I'm on the same boat. The app is installed, the extension is installed (I have actually reinstalled and rebooted several times in the hopes to make it work. I use 1 pass 4 and Fire fox latest version.

The 1password button appear in the browser but it is greyed out. Can't click on it.

@Avelar: Which are the exact versions of Firefox, 1Password, and the extension are you using? Do you have Native Messaging enabled in 1Password Help > Advanced? If you've turned that off, 1Password will not be able to communicate with Firefox. Let me know what you find!

You got it. It was the native messaging thing. But I didn't turn that off. I have just installed 1 password yesterday, so that was the default config. :) Thanks for your help Brenty!

  • Hi @Avelar,

That's great to hear and on behalf of Brenty, you're welcome.

The default install is supposed to have Native Messaging enabled by default but it may be left alone if it was a reinstall or you had 1Password 6 installed before.
