Moving an item on windows 10 client copies instead of moves
Greetings,
Over the weekend I switched from standalone to Families to bring my wife into the fold.
We both have Macs and I also have a Windows laptop.
The change was painless.
I've updated my Windows client and am starting on the reorganization process, moving things to shared folder etc.
On Windows 10 (1607) client the operation:
Right click -> Move item -> Shared
does not move the item, it copies it, leaving me to clean up the duplicate.
I searched the forums as best I could and found one other reference to this - but it went unanswerd when there was no follow-up to a request for more details.
Is this a known Windows client issue?
Regards,

@DrJekyll: This is a known issue (already fixed in beta) with moving items between accounts, but it shouldn't be causing trouble moving items between vaults. Some additional detail and nitpicking over language might be helpful in narrowing down why you're having problems here -- when you say you moved from standalone to Families, did you move from a standalone vault (syncing via Dropbox, etc.) to a 1Password Families account or from an Individual 1Password.com account to Family account? If the latter, did you upgrade your existing account to Families or open a new one? Thanks! :chuffed:

From a standalone vault syncing with Dropbox just for myself to a 1Password Families account. (I've been in the cloud/subscription resistance group for a while,,,)

@DrJekyll: Ah, well, that's completely different. It is impossible to "move" items involving local vaults in 1Password 6, as those are read only and supported only for purposes of importing. So Kate's mentioned fix in the beta will not apply in this case.
Is there something in particular that's holding you back from going all-in on 1Password.com? We've got a lot of great stuff in the works, so maybe there's something else that's in the pipeline that will help. :)

I must not be making myself clear. I have gone all in on 1Password.com. I changed from standalone to 1Password.com Families with a private vault for each of us and a shared vault. I moved everything from the old local vault to my private vault and deleted the local vault. I'm now trying to move some items from my private vault into the shared vault - except when I do the move operation - it copies instead of moves on Windows. When I'm using the Mac client on my iMac it moves the item as expected. When I'm on the Windows client on my laptop, the move operation does not move, it copies. I'm just trying to ascertain whether this is a known problem or whether there is something potentially whacked on my Windows machine.

@DrJekyll: From what you've said thus far, I do think something is amiss on your PC and it's best to take a closer look. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Windows PC:
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/?windows
Please add the following code (including the square brackets) to the subject of your diagnostics email before sending it:
[#LWU-23725-741]
This will make sure I'm notified when your diagnostics arrive. We can then take a peek and see what might be the trouble here. :chuffed:
To anyone following along at home: This support ID is for DrJekyll only. If you're not DrJekyll and need help, let us know and we'll get you your own.
