There's a Windows Update from 4.6.2???

My version is 4.6.2.626 but I've been reading about version 6? When I ask the program to check for new versions, it tells me I'm running the latest version. Is there a later version? Thanks!

1Password Version: 4.6.2
Extension Version: 626

    Hi

If you are upgrading from 1Password 4.6.2.626 which supports local vault only, then the next version to support local vaults is 1Password v7 which has been announced but the product ETA is still unknown. So at this point there is no later version than 1Password 4.

    Hi there @FuriousFan,

I am sorry for the confusion!

1Password 4.6.2.626 is the latest version of 1Password you should be using, if you have a standalone license and a local vault.
1Password 6 for Windows is focused on our 1Password.com accounts and doesn't support local vaults and standalone licenses.

If you prefer licenses and local vaults, please stick with 1Password 4 for the time being and stay tuned for 1Password 7 for Windows, we are planning to bring the support for local vaults and licenses back there. However, if you are interested in 1Password account, you can sign up for it on our website and migrate your data. Here is how:

Move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account

Let me know if it helps and clarifies this situation. Thanks! :+1:

    Cheers,
    Greg

Wait, 4.6.2 support both local and cloud synchronization. You mean that version 6 supports cloud-based vaults only I think. Version 7 will support both. Is that correct? Thanks

    Very good. Thanks all.

  • Yes, 1Password 7 will support both standalone vaults/licensing and 1Password.com subscriptions in the same program.

Understood. Anysort of timeframe for the release of v7?

  • Hi @FuriousFan,

No timeframe, all we can say for sure is that we're working on it now, which means it is not that far out but local vaults is a major feature that has to be tested in so many different combinations before we can release it as a beta update.
