Questions about two small bugs in 1Password 6.8.488

Hi, thanks for the great new 6.8 update :+1: I just have a few queries regarding two small bugs I've found with it.

The first one was a known issue in the Beta changelogs, whereby the 1Password window will quickly pop-up, then disappear, on login. I'm just wondering if my configuration is causing this, or if it's still a known issue and will be fixed in a future release?

I've only noticed the next bug intermittently. I often leave Favorites & Tags (in the sidebar) selected in 1Password when I log-off, which the app remembers next time I login. However sometimes, on next login, the sidebar shows All Items even though Favorites are shown in the middle column.

I hope the attached screenshot explains this better :+1: This only seems to have started with the latest stable update.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks, Paul

@pbryanw: Glad to hear you're enjoying 6.8! And the best is yet to come. :chuffed:

It sounds like you're referring to the browser causing 1Password's Native Messaging Host to restart. Is that correct? It's something we're looking into, but ultimately we don't have any direct control over that.

This seems pretty straightforward to me. 1Password is correctly remembering the last selected category, but on quitting and relaunching it shows that All Items is selected on the right even though the last used category's items are displayed. We'll get this fixed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! :)

@brenty - Hi, firstly thanks for your help - looking forward to the next year if the best is yet to come :+1:

No, I think this may be something different. In the recent 6.8.BETA-482, it was listed under known issues:
"1Password may flash for a second during Windows sign-in. {OPW-1484}".

I'm just wondering if this bug is still open, and will be fixed in the next beta, or a future update?

    Thanks again, Paul

@pbryanw: Haha I've already said too much!

Ah, thank you for clarifying! Indeed, that is a known issue which was introduced by another change we had to make so that keyboard shortcuts worked more reliably. Hopefully we'll be able to find a solution, but we'd rather have it flash briefly and then work than not work at all.

Ah, that makes sense now - thanks for your explanation of why this was introduced, and for your help again :chuffed: :+1:

Likewise, thanks for your feedback on this! I'm sorry that it's a bit weird for the time being, but we're working on ways to streamline it without giving up quick access to 1Password. Cheers! :)
