Windows 10 Chrome extension problem (subscription)

Subscribed, tried to use a new Chrome extension with Win 10. No luck after deleting, re-installing, rebooting multiple times. 2 hours wasted. So I downloaded desktop version, and it works perfectly with Chrome. BUT now I have entries showing on iPhone and on my1.password.com that do not match what is in desktop version. (1) How do I clean this up? (2) What is my best path forward... how should a Win10 user be using 1PW? (3) Is Win10 and Chrome even supposed to work with the subscription service? (4) What does the road map look like for a Win 10 user? (5) Is there an upcoming version on the desktop to replace V4? Thank you and Happy New Year!

    Thanks for writing in. It looks like you also emailed us and Laura has replied to you. Please email us your 1Password diagnostics report as Laura has asked, so we can see what's happening.

    The 1Password extension itself has no UI or data. 1Password desktop program has to be installed to download your encrypted data and it then communicates with 1Password extension in the background, the desktop program will present the UI and data for the 1Password extension.

    The 1Password extension is the same for both 1Password 4 and 6, and the same for macOS and Windows as well.

    Both 1Password 4 and 6 for Window are the latest versions for specific customers; 1Password 6 is for 1Password.com accounts only while 1Password 4 is for the standalone vaults and licensing. Both works on Windows 7 and above, including latest Windows 10.

    We're working on 1Password 7, which will add the full support for the standalone vaults and licensing in addition to the existing support for 1Password.com membership from 1Password 6. 1Password 7 will serve as an upgrade for 1Password 4 customers.

    I must have missed Laura's comment. On it now. BTW, I uninstalled Ver4 and am now using V6. The problem with not finding the helper takes place while the desktop V6 is open in the background. I am off to the app to find and send the diagnostic report. Thanks
