Windows app link is dead (1pwd 6?) [Working now]

I am trying to download 1password 6 for Windows on the downloads page, but the link seems to be dead. I was only able to download version 4, which does not seem to allow managing online vaults.

Where can I download a newer version?

Yesterday, I was trying to download it using the blue Download button under "1Password for Windows" here:
https://1password.com/downloads

which linked to this:
https://rink.hockeyapp.net/api/2/apps/0cb99692bcdb47abb89fad56dfd56d0c?format=zip

but that link was broken. It seems to be fixed now!

Ah, indeed, sometimes there can be a delay with the file propagating though the CDN all over the world. I'm sorry for the inconvenience there, but glad it's working for you now. Cheers! :chuffed:

Hi, I've noticed when I do a search for "1Password download" in Google, the second hit goes to https://agilebits.com/downloads

On this page, the 1Password for Windows link goes to the 4.x version.

I wonder if this is intentional, so users can still download the older version, or does it need updating to show the 1Password 6 download?

Absolutely intentional. We still offer both versions, one for standalone (4) and one for 1Password.com subscription (6).

On the https://1Password.com/downloads, we do show 1Password 4 (standalone version) under the blue button for Windows.

All of this will get better when 1Password 7 is shipped, which will support both standalone vaults + licensing and 1Password.com subscriptions in the same app.

Hi I have a licence for 1PW for mac. Work has just given me a windows device - can I use my existing licence? And where can i find the downloads for the standalone Windows version? Thanks, in anticipation.

Assuming you have a license for 1Password 6 for Mac, @shelby22, there is a chance 1Password 4 for Windows was included, but that wasn't universally the case. Back then we sold both Mac + Windows bundles and per platform licenses so it depends entirely on what you purchased. If you still have your original license e-mail handy, it will include a license key for 1Password 4 for Windows alongside your license file for 1Password for Mac if your purchase did include Windows. 1Password 4 is in the legacy section of your downloads page here:

If you purchased 1Password 7 for Mac, that would not include 1Password for Windows. 1Password 7 is being sold strictly per platform.
