Help with installing 1 Password on Windows 10 PC

Hi there,

I have 1 Password installed on my iMac and IOS devices and it mostly works fine. I have a new Windows 10 Pc and am trying to install 1 Password on that so I can use my logins with Chrome for Windows.

I have downloaded1PasswordSetup-6.8.492 but when I run this I am asked for:

  • Sign-in address
  • Email address
  • Secret key
  • Master password

Using your knowledge base I was able to find my Secret Key. However, there I have no idea what my 'sign-in address' would be if it is not my email address. Under 1 Password / Preference my sign-in address is shown as 'my.1password.com' but that doesn't work.

I am simply at a loss as to figure out how to proceed with the installation of your product on a Windows PC. Any help you can offer would be gratefully received.

Thank you

Solved. Rebooted everything and started from scratch. It's now installed but a messy and painful installation experience.

    Hi there @RandomNumber,

I am sorry for the difficulties with 1Password, but I am glad to hear that you've figured it out.

We recommend people to use a Setup Code to fill your account credentials in 1Password 6 for Windows and have a special getting started guide about this process. Here it is:

    Get the 1Password apps

However, we are looking at ways on how to improve this experience, so thank you for your feedback. :+1: Please let us know if you have any additional questions about 1Password on Windows or 1Password in general, we are always here for you. Thank you!

    Cheers,
    Greg
