After adding existing Dropbox vault, the wrong number of items is displayed

I've just added a vault synched with Dropbox to the 1Password 7 beta. When looking at the item counts, some of them are displayed wrong. In total it should be 1364 items, but 1P says they were 1372. For whatever reason, 1P has 645 login items (instead of 639) and 6 credit cards instead of 4.
I can see in the CC category, that there are 2 cards listed in 1P that have been deleted some time ago. Concerning the login items, I can't really see the differences, but this could also be related to deleted items.

  • Hi @manaburner,

    Thanks for reporting this.

When you say deleted, do you mean they should be in the Trash or they were in Trash and you emptied it, like they should never show up at all?

1Password is supposed to skip tombstone items (items that was trashed and emptied trash), in this case, there would be zero content. The fact that 1Password was able to decrypt it, means they weren't deleted properly.

Are you comparing the item counts with another 1Password app? If so, which one?

    Hi @MikeT
Yes I was comparing to the iOS App and the 1Password 4 app on the same machine using the same vault as the beta.
By „deleted“ I meant that I moved them to the trash. I can check if they are in the trash in 1Password 4 when I’m back home if you want.
Should I also check the Mac app?

  • Hi @Manaburner,

Do you recall where you deleted them?

I'm trying to reproduce this but 1Password 7 picked up all the deletions correctly for me.

I also reopened the vault and it matches perfectly too. I wonder if your current vault has conflicting files caused by Dropbox sync?

Do you see any items in Offline Changes on the sidebar in 1Password 7?

    Hi @MikeT
I'm not 100% sure on this but I would think that I deleted the items on my iPhone.

When I open the 1Password keychain in the Windows explorer, I can't see any conflicts. Are there other ways to see that?

I can see that the CC items, that have been deleted, are displayed in "Trash" when I'm viewing them in 1Password 4. When I look into the Trash in the v7 beta, those two items are not there but are listed in the CC category.
There is however a difference in the "last modified" date on those two items. In 1P 4 the items were modified on 08/17/2017 at 14:24:54 and 14:24:57. In v7, the modified time stamp is 08/17/2017 at 15:24.

No, I don't see any offline changes.

There's only one way as I know, check for filenames with (conflict copy) in it via your OPVault > default directory.

That is unusual. Could you email us your 1Password diagnostics report, please use this guide to generate the 1Password diagnostic report and email it to us at support+windows@agilebits.com. Also, in the email, include the link to this thread along with your forum username, so that we can connect the email to this thread.

Let us know here when you've sent it, so we can confirm we got the email.

One more thing, select the affected item itself in 1Password 7, and press F12 on it. It should show you the raw content of the item, can you review it and see if the item is supposed to be trashed?

    Hi @MikeT
I've just sent the diag report. My support ID is [#AMR-46316-218]

    OK, there are none.

It says "trashed: false", so it should not be in the trash I suppose.
