1Password is always on?

It could be by design and part of the way the Mini is running, but I noticed that even when I quit the app (β3 as of today) and even though it's no longer in my Dock, the Activity Monitor still reports that the app is up and running…
If I try to quit it nicely thought he activity monitor, nothing happens.

On the plus side, the app launches almost instantaneously now if I try to open it from the Finder :->

  • Hi @cortig,

You’re right. We’ve changed the architecture with 1Password 7 and as a result the main app will continue to run in the background and perform the functions that were performed by “mini” in v6. :)

Can we get an option/toggle for this not be always running? I know we can completely close it from the menu bar, but its annoying to do that every time I want the app to quit. I simply don't want it running 24/7 in the background.

@ck2875 - I can certainly mention this to our developers, but I suspect we won't be doing it. This was a conscious choice/design decision, rather than an unintended feature or an evolution or a bug.
