1Password 7 Beta forgets window and pane size
1Password forgets window sizes when it quits. Easy to reproduce, just resize your 1Password window, then quit 1Password and restart. This doesn't happen with 1Password 6.

Whenever I open the main app, the window reverts to the same size and location. It does not remember the previous window position and size like in 1Password 6.

This is a known issue. See, for example, this thread.

Yep, @Stephen_C is right. Thanks for letting us know you are also affected by this, though, @gordon3834. :+1:
EDIT: I merged both threads.

1Password's main window doesn't seem to remember its size or location on my screen: It reopens at the default size regardless of what I did in the previous session, and its location seems maybe random? At the moment it is always reopening to the right of center and about 100 pixels down from the top, but I'm pretty sure yesterday it opened itself towards the bottom-right corner, which is not where I'd put it either.

Good to know. I couldn't turn it up when I searched the forum before posting.

I'm using 1Password 7 Beta 7 on Mac. I noticed since I started using it in Beta 6 that 1Password no longer retain custom window size and will revert back to original 900x550px size when I reopened the window.
Steps to reproduce
- Open 1Password 7.
- Resize window to a different size.
- ⌘W to close the window.
- Reopen 1Password 7 by clicking on the Dock icon.
Expected result
- Window is reopened with a new size before it get closed.
Actual result
- Window is reopened with 900x550px size.

This has been extensively reported (see, for example, this thread). It's a bug and will be fixed.

Whoops, sorry about that. I was trying to go through the first two pages of the site and couldn't find it. I guess I didn't look hard enough 😅.
Anyway, can confirm that this is fixed in BETA-8. Thank you for the fix!

beta 8. the annoying bug still there for me

Can confirm that the bug is still present. No change in behaviour...

Wait ...
I think you people are right. Yeah, the bug still exists — sorry for the false alarm.
However, my first launch after the update 1Password window actually opened to the maximum size, so I thought the problem was fixed.
I think I can somehow make 1Password start up with a new size if I did a "Quit 1Password Completely" after resizing window though.

Bug is extended to window moving around the screen when repeatedly starting en quitting PW7

Thanks folks, the team is aware. :) We’ll post an update here when we’ve got a fix in place to test.

EDIT: I think things have gotten better in beta 9. After the update it remembered my 1Password window position, but after resizing the window it would always reset the position. e.g., place it in the farther-most right and relaunching will place it back smack center.

@Leon Guan Indeed, it should still be fixed. I just tried things on my end and it's working properly. Could you try restarting your computer to see if that makes a difference?
