1Password 7 disables logon in Safari

After updating to 1Password 7 (beta) I noticed that clicking on a login item on the 1Password extension icon on Safari no longer logs onto the appropriate website. It used to just logon if you clicked on a login item, now the only way is to manually enter the web page and then click on the login item in the 1Password Safari icon. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix (I just upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.4 and it still doesn't work)
