Touch ID: inconsistent behaviour between the app and the mini-helper

This has been happening for a while, but now that I'm on the 1P v7 beta and it's still happening I thought I'd see if it's normal.

Here's what happens:
1. I come back to my MacBook Pro with Touch ID after a while. I open the lid.
2. I pull up 1Password and it tells me that it needs my password because the MBP's lid has been closed.
3. I click the mini-app up there in my menu bar, and it prompts me for Touch ID. Yay! That is, of course, what I want.
4. The main app is now unlocked.

So, what's going on? Why doesn't the app match the mini-app?

  • @jen729w,

This is a known issue, if you close the main window and re-open it it will cause the presentation to reflect the actual Touch ID state.

    Ah, cool. Thanks Rudy.

Any plans to fix in 1P v7? Seems like a good time! ;-)

  • @jen729w We may take a look at it during the beta. Rudy is on the development team so rest assured they know about the issue — we'll be sure to keep them up to date with more feedback about it too.
