duplicates appeared, everywhere in the app
Using the beta (now latest release) and duplicates appeared all over the place. every item. Is there a fix? Can I go back to before the time of the duplicates' appearance and reset to that? Very annoying. All are in one (primary) vault.
REVISED:
Just went back and the duplicates are now gone. It must have been either some syncing issue (temp file??) or an artifact of the new update catching up with the data, but that's just a guess.
All seems to have cleared up.

I've experienced the same issue. I solved it by removing the sync, deleting all items and restoring the sync (after I restored a backup of the .opvault).
In my case I think the problem was caused by a sync issue after I converted my Agilekeychain format to Opvault using the Windows beta.

Using Mac only. (Allergic to Windows!)

Also same in Credit Cards, logins, etc.

can you look at the details of two of the same entries and see if they're listed as being in different vaults?
If they're listed as being in the same vault, can you update to 7.0.BETA-8, switch to that vault and go to Help -> Tools -> Clean Up Duplicate Items?
This should give you an opportunity to tag/trash the ones it detects are true duplicates.

I am running that version; and "Clean up.." is greyed out. But yes, they are showing as primary and personal vaults.
What if I deleted the personal vault?

@jipnet If the option is greyed out, switch to one of the vaults, then try using the clean up tool. If that doesn't work, you may have the same copy of items in the Primary vault as the Personal one has. You can remove the old Primary vault if you migrated your data to your account by switching to it and choosing Vault > Delete.

I actually don't know whether I was migrated. I had v. 6 running, then got and paid for the beta 7; then found this going on.
Here is my vault structure
I've never paid attention to vaults, and see no obvious reason why I need more than one. So what can I do to simplify things safely?
My Primary Vault is saving to iCloud; personal is saving, where? to your site? If so then that's a product of v. 6 + v. 7 beta. If I only need one vault saved, can I just delete the Primary one?
the third, dated 2016, was an experiment from that date; it is empty and I deleted it now.

I cannot delete the personal vault, since that is syncing with iOS products of mine at this time and there's no alternative for that, I believe.

@jipnet: The Personal vault is part of your 1Password.com account, and it can never be deleted. It sounds like what you ultimately want to do is consolidate all of your data into that. In order for me to tell you how to proceed, can you tell me where you have your data currently? Is everything in the Primary vault, or do you have data you need in both remaining vaults — "Personal" and "Primary"? You can always move items between vaults easily, but looking first can help you avoid duplicating items.

It seems that the home machine (MacBook Pro) has only 1 vault running, unlike the work machine (iMac) that has the picture from above (Primary and Personal).
They have the same number of items, so Personal is the one to run with. Perhaps I should delete the Primary Vault on the work machine? I don't know how I ended up with this discrepancy.

What is the difference between Primary and Personal Vaults? Or rather, how does the Primary Vault come into existence? I don't recall creating either one deliberately.

The Primary vault is a standalone vault. It is not connected to a 1Password membership. Unless there is a good reason to keep it we recommend removing it. Doing so is part of the migration procedure from standalone to membership.
To remove your old Primary vault, choose 1Password menu > Switch to Vault > Primary. Then choose 1Password menu > Delete Vault.
I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
