I would like to decide to type my 1P password instead of using Touch ID with second display
I have Touch ID enabled, which works great when I am using my laptop by itself. But, when I connect my Mac to a second display, it is inconvenient to take my hand from my keyboard and reach across to my laptop to press the touch id. Would be great if I could enter my password without removing my hands from keyboard. At present, I have to click on the button to enter the master password, which requires using my mouse.

Thanks for the suggestion. :) I can definitely see how this would be helpful. I’m not sure if Apple has a public API for checking if the Mac is in clamshell mode or not, but I’ll certainly pass the thought along to development.

I figured it out. I can hit the Esc key to enter my 1P password with they keyboard instead of using the mouse. Would be great to add this as a tip on the touchbar documentation page: https://support.1password.com/touch-id-mac/
BTW, my request is not related to clamshell mode.
Thanks!
