@pringle658: It sounds like you may have purchased one version of 1Password but are trying to use another. You'll be in "read only" mode unless you install the version you purchased and apply the license (or download using the correct Apple ID, if you purchased through the App Store). Definitely check your records as you'll have received an email receipt regardless of where or when you bought 1Password, and that will tell you what you need. Let me know what you find! :)
