That moment you think you've lost your data when saving

You know you're always give me heart attack when I save a document - the information disappears and then reappears a moment later. I'm guessing this is a feature: you're writing my information to the cloud and I don't see the information appear until the return trip from the cloud.

Cool tech. But it doesn't build trust in the product. A couple of ideas:

  • Show the text as italicized on the write and then normal on the read (putting aside Markup for the moment)
  • Show the text blurred on the write and then normal on the read.

  • Hi @invalidptr ,

To confirm, no, it has nothing to do with writing to the cloud. It writes it locally and syncs in the background. It is the rendering of the formatted text. Because notes fields now support markdown formatting, there is a pause to take the new information and format it.

We may be able to do something there to improve the experience. We'll take your ideas into consideration. Thanks for taking the time to let us know.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
