Hello,

first, sorry but my english is not very good.

I proceed a new install of windows 10, and 1Password as a standalone app without a membership.

When 1password start, I am asked for an account (sign-in address) and a secret key. I haven't an 1password account, just the licence key.

In the "help" menu, there is no option "enter your licence".

Without these secret key and 1password account, i don't know how i can access to 1 password app with only my licence ?

Thank you

when I retrieve my information, I get this (i mask the licence):

    Name: David PHILIPPE
    Key: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
    Download: https://agilebits.com/downloads

Register: Select Help > Enter License Key…, and enter the above key.

    Hi @jimwest,

Thank you for reaching out! I am sorry for the confusion.

It sounds like you have downloaded 1Password 6 for Windows this time. 1Password 6 is focused on our 1Password accounts and does not support local vaults and standalone licenses. With your license, you should download and use 1Password 4 for Windows, not 1Password 6.

Also, please note that we are working on a new version of 1Password for Windows that will support standalone licenses and local vaults. 1Password 7 for Windows will be a paid upgrade and it is already available in beta:

Introducing 1Password 7 Beta for Windows

Let me know if you have any other questions, we are always ready to help you with 1Password. :)

    Cheers,
    Greg
