[Bug] [New Mini] - Massive CPU Usage Spikes

New new mini kills my CPU. Especially when scrolling lists with the keyboard.

I may be wrong but based on the sluggishness, the high CPU usage and the high memory usage, it sure feels like the new mini is no longer a native app but has been instead converted to some HTML/CSS solution like Electron.

Can someone on the dev team confirm this and also explain why this decision was made (other than consolidating the codebase)?

The new mini is native, Cocoa/AppKit/Swift. There will be improvements to the animation performance in the future (I can't make a solid time table estimate).

I'll have a look at the CPU load while keyboarding.
