Apparently the chome extension in chromium gets no connection to 1password.
The log file contains "Refusing helper connection from ...chrome.exe because of untrusted certificate."

  • Hi @KonradRi,

    Thanks for writing in.

This is expected as Chromium is not code-signed. 1Password can only support code-signed browsers as it uses it for one of the security checks to make sure 1Password extension isn’t modified while in the browser.

We only support the stable versions of the following; Brave, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Vivaldi. Certain beta/nightly builds of these browsers can be used but we can’t provide support for them.

I stick with Chrome 64bit stable portable. Good to know I shouldn't move to Chromium. Thx @MikeT

    Hello,

thanks for the information, I switched to Vivaldi.

    greetings

  • You're welcome, I hope you enjoy using it. We wish we didn't have to limit your choices of browsers but security is first thing to consider for us.
