1Password 7 crashes immediately after install
I have been using 1P v4 on Windows sucessfully alongside v6 on Mac, using Dropbox for the Vault.
I tried to install 1P v7 on Windows 7. Immediately after installing (I did not launch the app myself, maybe the installer attempts that automatically) I get a crash message:
Trying again to launch it, it always returns. At times it just keeps popping up. No way to get the app to run.
What I did next:
- removed the old v4 through control panel
- removed all browser plugins
- removed after that v7 as well (so everything gone). Reboot and reinstall of v7
Nothing seems to resolve the issue.
I even tried the v7.1.562 beta - same issue.
Please help! (I rely heavily on 1Password...)
(I know you guys always ask for a diagnostics dump, but as I am unable to launch at all... no way of doing that)
Thanks
Dirk

@dirkvanthillo you already did most common fix (reboot), so i'll skip that. On top of my head there may be few reasons, like video driver issue, .NET Framework update (you may need to install latest .NET Framework first), pending Windows update... Let's get some crash reports first, follow this guide https://support.1password.com/cs/windows-crash-report/ please.

See attached the crash report. It does mention something about .NET... But anyway, let me know what I should do next!https://www.dropbox.com/s/mzqh1e01m075zln/1Password Crash Report.txt?dl=0
(Apparently I could not upload the TXT file... Hope this works)

@dirkvanthillo it looks like .NET error to me, try to install .NET Framework https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/thank-you/net472.

Great! This worked. It seems i had still .NET 4.5.2 instead of 4.7.2.Thanks for your quick support!
