My license key does not work

My computer crashed and when it was up and running again, my 1Password was not working so I have been trying to enter my licence key and it does not recognise it

    Thanks for writing in.

    While I was looking for details on your account, I found an email you sent to us and I'll reply there but just to clarify here; you may be using 1Password 7 for Windows instead of 1Password 4 since 1Password 7 does not use license keys anymore as it uses a signed license file provided by our FastSpring store.

    Since 1Password 4 does use the license key, it sounds like you need 1Password 4 instead, which you can find at the bottom right of our downloads page here: https://1Password.com/downloads/
