Why am I seeing this message on boot up all the time?

Every time I cold boot my machine, I see this message. I have 1Password set to not start with windows. Using Edge extension. How do I turn this off?

    Hi @MMA,

    Thanks for writing in. We've explained what's happening in this pinned thread. It's a series of unexpected changes from the Windows 10 April 2018 update within Edge and we did fix it but only to have it changed again in a later Windows update.

    We're investigating for a long term solution and for a quick fix as well, we're trying to work with Microsoft on this.

    For now, there are a few options:

    1. De-select Edge as the default browser, everything works fine and you can still use 1Password in Edge until this is fixed
    2. Close/ignore the splash screen at every boot (easiest option for now)
    3. Disable 1Password extension
    4. Uninstall 1Password for Edge and use 1Password in other browsers that works fine.

    Every time I turn my PC on, with no exception, 1Password (desktop app) prompts me to install/ensure that I have the most recent version of 1Password for my PC before attempting to use the Edge browser. Then it gives me two options, to go to 1password.com or to visit support.

    I do have the most recent version installed and even attempted to download the newest version. However, every time the app opens as soon as I boot up and log in. But only once at the beginning. I can close this window (and the 1Password app) and go to the Edge browser and use the edge extension with no problems. I am simply a little irritated and annoyed about this window that pops up every single time.

    Also to note, I'm not sure what this means but under settings/extensions within the 1Password app there is a long list of Microsoft Edge listings that state: "Microsoft Edge by (disconnected)". There must be one of these listings for every time I have booted up (a lot). Then the very top listing says: "Microsoft Edge by (paired).

    P.S. I use 1Password on my Mac with absolutely no problems. I love it!

    Thanks for writing in. I've merged your post into another thread that has the same question. Please read my post above yours, you can just ignore the screen for now until we get a better solution for this with Microsoft in the near future.
