1Password X fills login but 1Password 7 does not

I am having a strange issue - when trying to login to my Bell account (https://mybell.bell.ca), my 1Password X installation at the office does it just fine, but 1Password 7 at home does not autofill. I need to copy the password and paste it in the field for it to work.

Is there anything in particular that can cause this?

1Password Version: 7.1.567
Extension Version: 4.7.2.90
OS Version: Windows 10
Sync Type: 1Password

  • Hi @mbesemann,

    Thanks for writing in.

1Password X currently uses a newer and smarter version of 1Password Brain that 1Password 7.1 for Windows doesn't have, so it's not as good. The good news is that 1Password 7.2 Beta for Windows now has the same Brain version and should work the same way.

You can try updating to 1Password 7.2 betas to see how it works for you.

By the way, I am not able to reproduce any issues on https://mybell.bell.ca/ with 1Password 7.1 when I've created a new Login item. You may have an older Login item with saved data from an older design of bell.ca site that could be the cause. The newer 1Password 7.2's brain can try to adjust intelligently to improve the filling on newer designs.
