How to upgrade from Windows v4 to 7
I'm an existing user with an account in 1Password for Windows Version 4.6.2.626. I bought a license key a few years ago.
I recently upgraded my PC and moved to Windows 10.
I sync my vault in Dropbox.
Upon opening the 1 Password for Windows version 7.2.581 on my new Windows 10 PC, I selected my vault from dropbox and successfully logged in using masterpassword, but it says I need to pay for a subscription to have full access/edit.
When I click on subscribe, it asks me to login and asks for 2 things I do not know.
1. sign-in address. Where do I find this?
2. Secret key. I cant find this.
Can you advise what steps I need to take to have full access to my vault in Windows 10?
Thanks
1Password Version: Windows Version 4.6.2.626 and 7.2.581
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Windows 10 home (version 1803)
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @tormerod77,
Thanks for writing in.
but it says I need to pay for a subscription to have full access/edit.
You need a license or 1Password.com account to edit or save data. It is up to you to choose what you want to buy.
There are two separate 1Password products you can buy;
- the 1Password.com membership which gives you access to all 1Password apps, cloud storage, fast and easy access to your 1Password data anywhere you are (no manual sync setup required), including access to https://my.1Password.com. You can find out more here: https://support.1password.com/why-account/
- a Windows license for 1Password 7 version only, you'd have to manually handle the Dropbox sync on your own and no other licenses are included.
If you want to get a license, click the blue link below the green Subscribe Today button that says Need a license? and from there, you can buy a license.
When I click on subscribe, it asks me to login and asks for 2 things I do not know.
I just checked, I don't see anything like that. It will ask for that if you clicked on Sign-in on the sign-up page when you click on Subscribe Today. You do not have a 1Password.com if you bought 1Password 4 license in the past, you'd have to buy it separately with a new 1Password account. When you set up your 1Password account, you will be given these two piece of information. No one knows your secret key, it is unique to you and you must not share that information with anyone.
