Conversion of 4.x vault missing customization of standard login fields
On many of my login records I added additional information in additional sections and password fields. Checking my converted data I find that none of these additions made it through the conversion from 4 to 7? In several cases I have 24 digit keys to encrypt some very sensitive data stored in a new section on a record and its simply not there in the converted data. I was able to set up version 4 on windows, if I can't get a reliable vault conversion from 4 to 7 how do I get version 4 back on my phone (IOS)?
I am shocked also that folders are not supported. I switched from Splash ID to 1Password because of this functionality (tags to set one or more aliases on a record, and folders to group the same records in different logical views). Is one Password considering adding folders back in and is there a way to get all of my data converted?

@wgale2760: We don't have plans to bring folders back. Instead, we've made some changes to tags to allow them to better replace folders. When you import your vault, folders will be converted to tags (nested, as appropriate) and will display in your sidebar much like folders once did. They're also searchable using
tag:foo
ortag:foo/*
for all items with that parent tag. It is different, but really flexible and can be a really handy way to organize things once you find a method that works well for you.As for missing data after conversion, 1Password 7 for Windows really should capture everything, including your custom fields. We knew we'd have folks converting some pretty old data to a new format and spent quite a lot of time making sure it worked. That said, we're not perfect and certainly could have missed something. Could you tell me how you're converting your data and which app you're using to do so? Also, are you converting to a standalone OPVault or importing into a 1Password account? This will help me better determine what might be going wrong for you.
Finally, if you decide you need to, you can go back to 1Password 4 without changing your app on other devices. Every version of 1Password currently available can sync with 1Password 4 for Windows and 1Password 4 even supports OPVault. How you'll need to set things up will differ based on what other devices are in your 1Password ecosystem, but there's a way to make it work regardless and we can cross that bridge if we need to. :+1:

I converted it to a stand alone account. The conversion was part of the upgrade and stand alone purchase process. I have a backup copy of my 4.x vault but I am interested in if the converted OPvault supports folders?

Hi @wgale2760,
Yes, part of the OPVault conversion in 1Password 7 for Windows is converting the original folders and subfolders to be nested tag; here's an example: subfolder like
A > B
is converted to beA/B
