Security of your account on 1password.com
Hi!,
I'm new to 1password and tried to find the answer to this specific question but couldn't find it. Hope you can help me.
When I go to the 1password website I'm able to login to my account and manage my passwords there. It seems to me that if I would ever do that on a computer that has been hacked or when having an extension installed that is unsafe ALL my passwords could now be stolen.
Am I missing something? I really like the idea of having unique passwords for different sites but having the possibility of losing all my passwords at once still seems a bit unsafe to me.
Thanks!

Any time and in any fashion that you’re accessing your data on an untrusted computer you’re opening up yourself to a fair bit of risk. We can’t recommend using a device that you can’t trust.

That seems obvious... but in that regard I am opening myself up to a new risk of losing ALL my passwords (and other secure data) by using 1password...

I'd argue that not using a password manager like 1Password opens you up to many, many more risks: password reuse, or forgetting passwords if you're using unique ones; data collection (of information that is not encrypted), phishing scams, etc. Putting all of your "eggs" in a very secure "basket" means you only need to worry about one thing: choosing a long, strong, unique Master Password -- and of course having an Emergency Kit with everything you need to access your data if all your devices are lost, stolen, or destroyed.
