Hello all,
I just switched to 1Password 8 and I like the overall concept, but I have found a few things that are missing (or maybe I can't just find them).

3 years agoJust installed 1P8, and I'm loving the update for the most part. I'm having trouble with a behavior that worked in 1P7, but I'm not sure how to do it in 1P8.
I routinely run several different browsers. I used to be able to launch 1Password mini with a shortcut key, type to filter the list, then hit enter on a site I want to open and fill. This would result in the site being opened in the active browser window (Safari, Chrome, Brave, Firefox).
With Quick Access, hitting enter opens the page in my default browser (Safari) regardless of which browser had focus when I launched quick access. It looks like Shift+Enter detects the application with focus, but assumes I'm sending the login to the browser application itself rather than opening the site in the browser and filling the login. Loading the page before launching quick access does cause the shift+enter shortcut to fill the password on the page in a non-default browser, but that means I have to grab the url out of 1P first before applying the login.
I can confirm 1P detects (e.g.) Firefox when I'm autofilling (Shift+Enter), because I get the warning about 1P not being able to determine if Firefox should have access to the login. There just doesn't seem to be a way to launch and fill in a non-default browser through quick access.
I know I can click the 1P extension icon in Firefox/Chrome/Brave to launch and fill in one of these browsers, but there's no shortcut key to open the extension, and it wouldn't be a universal action like Quick Access is. It would be really nice if the Quick Access screen used the browser window with focus as its first option, followed by a new default browser window as its second option if there is no browser with focus.
