Apple Watch unlock is not working in the beta/nightly version of 1Password for Mac

MacStudio M1 Ultra 128GB RAM 4TB SSD
In settings, unlocking with Apple Watch is checked but ignored. I have to enter the passphrase each time. Other applications (e.g., Quicken) do unlock with the Apple Watch.
