Can I download Google passkey to my android phone from 1password?

Hi there, everyone!

I've got a Pixel 6 running Graphene OS.  The issue I am having is that Google's 2FA has just gone bonkers and is not allowing anything but my passkey to confirm my account on that phone for use of the play store and I can't figure out how to get my passkey to my phone to satisfy it's requirement.

Normal stuff like NFC and bluetooth aren't working so I need to get the passkey onto the phone.  I have the 1password app on it and when I look at my Google entry in 1password, the passkey is shown there but I see no way to download the passkey to the phone itself and play does not allow me to use another app to provide the passkey, it just looks for it on the phone.

Is there any way I can download the passkey onto my phone from either the 1password app or website?

Thanks for your time!

  • Hi schwim,

You can use 1Password itself to sign in to apps/websites using passkeys on your Android device. To confirm, have you been able to sign in to other apps/websites using passkeys on this device? If not, could you try following the steps below to make sure 1Password is selected in your device's passkey manager settings?

    1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
    2. Select Passwords & accounts, then select 1Password under Passwords, passkeys and data services.
    3. Select None, then select OK.
    4. Select 1Password, then select OK.

After doing that, do you see a prompt to sign in using the passkey you have saved in 1Password?
