Changing password in 1pw8 complicated and unintuitive
This is scary
I needed to change a password and ended up manually creating one because I wasn't able to do so automatically
1) Not all options for creating a pw are available as in 1pw7. I needed...

3 years agoIf you wish to return to 7:
- Quit 1Password 8 and drag it to the trash. Do not use an app cleaner for this. Manually completing this step will keep your data safe. * Optional leave it here if you intend on trying 1Password 8 again. It can also be re downloaded later on.
- Double click
1Password 7.app.zip
in your Applications folder to expand it. You can then remove the zip file from the Applications folder. * If you have removed 1Password 7 it can be downloaded here. Download 1Password for Mac - It sounds as if you'll need to move 1Password 7 to your applications folder.
- Open Safari and disable 1Password for Safari and enable the 1Password extension (likely version 7.9.4)
- Drag 1Password for Safari to the trash. * Optional leave it here if you intend on trying 1Password 8 again. It can also be re downloaded.

Regarding 1Password 8, you can do a pin. It's a little different. Use Universal Access search for the item and use the shortcut of command
