Differing category lists?
When I want to add a new item, I get the following:
But when I was poking around on trying to see if there was a way to add a custom category, I found a recent comment (a month ago) from a user on reddit, with no further details, that they got the following options when adding a new item:
I would love to have all these options! Is there a reason I'm getting the more limited list? Is there a way to get this more complete list? (I'm running 1Password 8.10.58 for Windows on Windows 11, with a family plan.)
Hello xel! 👋
Thanks for reaching out! The list of categories in your screenshot looks correct to me. Some users who are part of a 1Password Business organization may see more options if their administrator has decided to create new item categories for their organization. Creating new categories is currently being tested as part of a beta for 1Password Business:
- As an admin or owner, log in to your 1Password Business account on [1Password.com](http://start.1password.com/) (in the browser, not the app).
- In the admin sidebar on the right, select Settings > Beta (at the top of the screen).
- Turn on Beta Features, then select Save Settings.
- The sidebar will now have a "Templates" option where new categories can be created.
I don't have any news to share regarding when, or if, this feature will be introduced to other types of 1Password memberships.-Dave

Thanks for this explanation! It was baffling to me!
I'm so jealous of that extended list. It definitely would be nice to be able to create categories, or at least have many more categories, like this. I use secure notes, but those are hard to keep organized when they have so many different items - everything from insurance information to vehicle information to lock combinations, all mixed together! I know that there have been requests for this over the years, but maybe not a sufficient number to make it a priority. Anyway I'll hope for it!
