Disabling "Sign in Automatically" Doesn't Work

I am currently using the Chrome browser extension in Windows. I have disabled "Autofill & save" and that disabled selections below it, including "Sign in automatically after autofill." But, when I select a login the browser extension automatically "submits" the filled-in information which I do not want. In order to just have 1Password fill in the login information and not submit the form, I have to go into the additional options for the item that is pulled up by the extension (the vertical "...") and select the option to not automatically sign me in. And I have to do this, manually, for each login! Surely this is a bug? Or am I missing something obvious?

  • Hello JonML44! 👋

I'm sorry that autosubmit is still being triggered even after you've turned it off. Do I understand correctly that you've turned off "Offer to fill and save passwords"? If that's right then it sounds like you might be running into a known issue whether other options remain enabled even if they appear turned off after "Offer to fill and save passwords" is turned off. Try the following steps:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
    3. Click Autofill & save.
    4. Make sure that "Offer to fill and save passwords" is on.
    5. Turn off "Sign in automatically after autofill".
    6. Turn off "Offer to fill and save passwords" if you wish.

Let me know if you still see the issue after trying these steps.
