Fix for Safari Mac: Autofill popup not clicking/working
Hey everyone, just wanted to chime in. I ran into a very similar issue on Safari for Mac and found a quick workaround that might help. It looks like Safari is getting confused with the extension's website permissions.
Here's how to force Safari to reset it:
- Go to Safari > Settings > Websites.
- Scroll down to 1Password for Safari on the left panel.
- At the bottom right ("For other websites"), change it from Allow to Ask. (Tip: I also removed all the sites currently listed in that box just to start fresh).
- Go back to the login page that wasn't working and hit refresh.
- Safari will prompt you for permission under the address bar. Just click Always Allow.
After doing this, the 1Password autofill popup became clickable again for me. Hope this helps some of you out while we wait for a real fix!

The latest version of 1Password for Safari includes improvements to address issues with autofill on certain websites. Please update 1Password for Safari to version 8.12.5:
Thank you for your patience while we worked to release a fix for the autofill issue. If you're still seeing autofill issues after updating then please share the following:- Your version of macOS: Find out which macOS your Mac is using
- The address of the website where filling isn't working.
- Which specific field isn't being filled.

For me, updating to extension 8.12.5.2 looks to have fixed the issue (limited testing..). Now for a fix for iOS...!

Worked for me. I hope it doesn't happen again. Thank you!~
It didn't. Worked only on 1Password Community login. All others don't work. - CheesecakeNew Contributor
My experience was a little bit different. I actually had multiple Safari Extensions giving me an alert "yellow triangle icon". In reference to the OP's instructions I was unable to manually remove the individual websites from the list. That option remains greyed out for me.

UPDATE: Oh FFS, 1Password. So, I happily logged into a few sites and all looked good. I locked my Mac and went away for an hour or so. Upon my return and unlocking my Mac, 1Password's Safari extension is no longer working to auto-fill fields. The behavior is right back to before--it teases you by showing that it HAS your information, but won't insert it into the fields. Grrrrr.

HO-LEE-CRAP! THANK YOU, acit !This post needs to be pinned!
I was about ready to give up, cancel my family account, and move to Apple's Passwords account. I'd tried all of the basic uninstall, reboot, reinstall, etc., without any joy. Decided to pop into the community to see if this was a common issue. Lo and behold, it appears it is.
Yours was the second post I read after scanning and I figured the solution was worth a shot. And... BINGO! everything appears to be working as expected once again across multiple sites. Yay! Fingers crossed it remains functional but at least I have a new troubleshooting tool now!
Thanks again, and kudos for figuring this out!

Thank you! 🙏
This worked for me, but it is quite annoying.
